Understanding the Journey from Consultation to Care
Consultation & Needs Assessment
Patients typically begin by consulting with their healthcare provider or a certified medical tourism coordinator to identify their treatment goals and suitability for care abroad. KAMTOUR Verified™ organizations emphasize transparent communication and ethical patient guidance during this stage.
Personalized Plan
Once needs are identified, accredited institutions create individualized care plans that align medical objectives, budget, and travel requirements. KAMTOUR Verified™ organizations are expected to maintain clear documentation and patient consent at every step.
Travel Coordination
Licensed medical tour operators and logistics partners handle travel, accommodations, and documentation under relevant national regulations. KAMTOUR Verified™ ensures these partners uphold international standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Treatment & Recovery
Patients receive care through hospitals and clinics that have achieved KAMTOUR Verified™ — demonstrating excellence in quality, ethics, and patient safety. Post-treatment recovery is supported in coordination with both domestic and international care teams.
Follow-Up & Continuity of Care
After returning home, follow-up is coordinated to ensure proper recovery and record transfer. KAMTOUR Verified™ organizations are required to provide transparent communication and maintain continuity of care as part of their KAMTOUR quality commitment.

KAMTOUR Verified™– Frequently Asked Questions
KAMTOUR Verified™ is a private, voluntary accreditation program administered by the Korea-America MedTour Association (KAMTOUR). It recognizes healthcare providers, medical institutions, and related service organizations that meet KAMTOUR’s standards of quality, safety, ethics, transparency, and cross-border patient care excellence between the United States and South Korea.
Eligible applicants include hospitals, clinics, medical centers, licensed physicians, wellness centers, and medical-tourism support organizations in the U.S. or Korea, as well as ancillary service providers that meet KAMTOUR’s compliance and operational criteria.
KAMTOUR Verified™ provides official recognition as a trusted international provider, inclusion in the KAMTOUR Verified™ Directory, use of the KAMTOUR Verified™ Seal, priority participation in events, enhanced credibility, and access to a broad professional network.
Applicants are evaluated based on licensure and compliance, clinical quality standards, patient safety, privacy and ethical practices, cross-border coordination capacity, transparency, and cultural competence.
The process includes Application Submission, Preliminary Review, Evaluation & Verification, Approval & Listing, and Renewal. KAMTOUR Verified™ is valid for two years.
No. KAMTOUR Verified™ is voluntary but offers preferred recognition and priority access to events and listings.
Fees vary by organization type and size. The KAMTOUR Verified™ Fee covers application processing, verification, and directory listing for two years. Evaluation Fees may apply for on-site or document-based reviews.
Most KAMTOUR Verified™ are completed within 6–8 weeks after all documents are submitted and verification is complete.
Yes. KAMTOUR Verified™ may be suspended or revoked if standards are not maintained or the Certified Seal is misused.
KAMTOUR Verified™ is a private, voluntary accreditation, not a government license. However, KAMTOUR collaborates with KHIDI and U.S. healthcare institutions to promote recognized international quality standards.
KAMTOUR Verified™ organizations receive a digital badge and certificate, which may be displayed on websites, promotional materials, and signage per KAMTOUR’s Brand Use Guidelines.
